The "members only" portion
of the website is a location for BPW specific resources and personnel
data. It is also useful for members needing to share information
within their committees. To post documents, start a poll, or request
help,
click here to contact your site administrator.
To help you navigate the site, the following
is a brief explanation of the content
behind each
major heading on the Members Area main portal page:
Date and Search Function:
The current
date will appear on the left side at the top of the main section of
the
webpage. Right
below the date is an empty data box that
can be used to enter a
keyword. The data box next to the key word asks where you want to
look, and clicking
on the
magnifying glass symbol
begins the search.
Log in:
Establishing an account is a two step process:
STEP ONE:

Establish your account on your first visit to the "Member Area"

Enter a user name and password and click "log in"
-
A message will say "wrong user name and password" so click on
"Register"

A form will come up asking you to complete your personal information
and to re-enter your user name and password
-
Be sure to use a valid email address
-
You will also be asked if you want to share that information with
others
-
Click "send" to complete Step One of the registration process
STEP TWO:
-
Next, you will see a message that says you completed registration and
directs you to complete activation of your account

You will receive a welcome email at the address you provided when you filled
out the registration form.

The email will contain your user name and password and a link back to
the BPW Michigan Member Area.

To activate your account, click on the
link
-
You will be directed back to the BPW Michigan website member area and
will see a message welcoming you to the Michigan Member Area
-
On your next visit, just login using your user name and password
NOTE: The email to activate your account is sent within a few minutes
so if you don't receive the email, you probably caught it in your spam
folder.

As a registered user, you can:

Send messages to your friends

Save activities to your calendar
-
Send documents
-
Review documents
-
Join discussion boards
-
Get the latest news
-
You can choose to hide your information from others by checking the
box
News:
be used for BPW specific news
News from LO's around the state
News from sister organizations
Deadlines
Announcements:
Will be used to remind members of
upcoming events/deadlines or changes such as the upcoming Leadership
Training.
Committee News:

This is the area to set up "message
boards."

Can be organized by committee or
specific interest
